Wedding cakes are often the centerpiece of a wedding, but more and more frequently, couples are bucking tradition for something a bit different. A couple of the problems with traditional wedding cakes: they're expensive, they need to be served to the guests (which means waiting and waste), and they limit the couple to one flavor. I love dessert displays, they usually cost around the same as a traditional wedding cake but make a great statement and offer more options to the guests. As the centerpiece of a dessert display it's still fun to have something that gives the same grand feel as a wedding cake.
